Heat that Changes the Timber from Within

Thermally modified timber is produced by controlled heating to 180–215°C, with no chemicals involved. Two treatment types are available: Thermo-S gives the timber a lighter tone, Thermo-D a darker one, improving its stability and durability.

Heating and Drying

The timber is gradually heated, reducing its moisture level to almost zero.

Thermal Modification

The timber is heated to 190–215°C, improving its durability and dimensional stability.

Cooling and Stabilising

The timber is gradually cooled and its moisture level stabilised.
